Shepherd to the Stars

Ydaine Haizea

Oftentimes one would see this elegant Viera dancing to the beat of music wherever she may find it and in rarer cases you may find her with a tome in hand accompanied by a carbuncle or fae.Ydaine is a Viera hailing from the elusive forests of Othard. She left the confines of her home when she came of age, choosing to explore the world and never to return home. A fair exchange in her eyes.

Curious Viera that she is, Ydaine found herself in the libraries of Limsa Lominsa where she was offered to study the art of arcanum to which she had a natural affinity. She furthered her education and became an accomplished Summoner… And when she mastered that, she also took it upon herself to become a Scholar.

As fate deemed it so, Ydaine was suddenly thrust into becoming the Warrior of Light, a rather fitting role if she ever thought about it. Her life became an adventure that never ceased and every day was an opportunity to learn something new and meet people from all over the Star.Upon finding herself in the First, Ydaine unexpectedly fell in love with the enemy, the cunning and jaded Ascian Emet-Selch. From enemies to lovers, their fate was paved in tragedy as Ydaine knew it would all end with her lover’s blood on her hands.

When she returned to Etheirys, Ydaine made it her personal goal to grieve and begin to heal from all the loss and tragedies in her life which proved quite challenging as the Final Days were upon the Star.It was not an easy task to commit to, with more loss and death following down her path. She found her strength with the scions and her beloved friends, those dearest to her who were steadfast to support her in any challenge.

Ydaine took up a new discipline after saving the Star from the Final Days, learning from the lithe and elegant dancers of Thavnair; She now performs at the Shiokaze Holstery for foreign guests and locals alike.(Surpisingly, she is one of the best dancers in the city. Her performances are almost always sold out. But she’ll sneak in a friend or two on occasion for a good time.)
